Welcome to Episode 12 The ladies decide to record early and switched out their glass of wine for a Cafecito! Are your kids’ sports making you broke? Well, the ladies discuss how expensive it is to raise a child. Never mind the normal living expenses like shelter, clothes and food when raising a child, you must also factor in tuition, school activities and sports. Liz discusses how expensive it can be to fund a child’s extra-curricular activities like sports as part of the many investments parents make. The fundraisers, uniforms, snacks, lunches, and dinners that all come at a cost. These are just one of the many expenses one incurs in order to raise a well-rounded child. But before we dive into our topic Zuly gives her review on a dinner date with Mr. Big to a local BYOB steak house that left her with a full stomach but a not so good experience. The lack of attention and subpar service left her questioning “if it was a short-staffed situation or if she didn’t quite fit the demographic environment” the waitress did not offer the dinner special, forgot to serve/offer water, her entrée was removed early, and she had to serve her own damn wine!! When compared to a Hispanic owned quaint location located in Edgewater, New Jersey called Terravita, where the owner is hands on, friendly and very attentive, and the food is amazing, the ladies are left with the question “should tipping be mandatory or should you tip accordingly”? As always, the conversations take us off topic and Zuly finds herself talking about the date from hell and learns that night court is in fact in a thing and always is session… because you know criminals never sleep. Tune in and listen how her date ended up in jail and left her having to pay a hefty car rental fee. Let’s just say all these unfortunate experiences get a one-star rating with no tip!
